DJ Ready Red Hip Hop Workshop |  A Great Day in Hip Hop  - Celebrating the legacy of DJ Ready Red

DJ Ready Red :: One Of The Founding Members of Houston’s Geto Boys.  RED was the Geto Boys’ first DJ and producer. He gave them their sound. He was responsible for most of the production on the early stuff and all of the production on Willie D's  first album, Controversy. -- "To say he was a pioneer would be an understatement. Red was before his time. There’s a lot of producers today that are eating off of Red and don’t even know why their bellies are full.” --- Willie D

One of the flagship artists on Rap-A-Lot Records, the Geto Boys rose to prominence with their 1988 debut Making Trouble before adding Scarface and Bushwick Bill for 1989’s Grip It! On That Other Level, 1990’s The Geto Boys and 1991’s groundbreaking We Can’t Be Stopped.

Mac Miller's cause of death has been revealed.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office released its toxicology results, showing the 26-year old Pittsburgh native, born Malcolm McCormick, passed away on September 7, 2018, from a combination of cocaine, fentanyl and alcohol, according to TMZ.

Other drugs found in his San Fernando Valley home included oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax and hydrocodone.

Miller was already "blue" when an assistant discovered his body in bed in a "praying position." He was kneeling forward, with his face resting on his knees.

The rapper was bleeding from one nostril and had a 1/4 inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose.

A rolled-up $20 bill with white powdery residue was in the "Self Care" hit maker's right pocket.

TOKYO (AP) — Floyd Mayweather is planning on fighting Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on Dec. 31 in Saitama, north of Tokyo.

The 41-year-old Mayweather is 50-0 in his boxing career but has never fought professionally under MMA rules. Although he did have a lucrative win over MMA fighter Conor McGregor last year.

Japanese promoter the RIZIN Fighting Federation on Monday said rules and the weight class for the bout have not been set.

“We still have some work to do,” said Nobuyuki Sakakibara, the RIZIN chairman.

The 20-year-old Nasukawa, speaking at a news conference alongside Mayweather, called it “probably the biggest event of my life so far.”

He also vowed to end Mayweather’s long string of victories.

“Nobody has defeated my opponent in the past, and I would like to be the man who makes history,” Nasukawa said, speaking through an interpreter. “My punch can change history. And I will show that to you. So please stay tuned.”

Mayweather sat calmly and then praised his young opponent.

“I think he’s young, very strong and very fast and he undefeated so it’s obvious he’s doing something right,” Mayweather said.

Tre-Dot w/Got the Gius "Gemini"

Underground music is defined as comprising musical genres beyond the mainstream culture. Any song that is not being legally commercialized is considered as such; as well as the foundation and creative force behind the culture. Tre-Dot, the New York City born emcee (now in NC) is the definition and representation of such an artist. Upon his return as an emcee and connecting with producer Got the Gius, the concept of Icicles Drippin was formulated. The projects focus goes deep inside the mind of the emcee which is representative of the artwork and logo by Plushy Gangsta. The first shared single entitled “Why” (Justice for Junior) took a journey deep into the mind of a young man terrified and facing his untimely death in a familiar environment. Next up, the single Gemini, the initial video single, is a tale expressing in detail the traits of the zodiac sign Gemini. Icicles Drippin is the album, produced in its entirety by Got the Gius and all video footage directed and filmed by Illy Rock of NC.Get Connected With Tre-Dot On Social Media:Instagram: www.instagram.com/bosstredotInstagram: www.instagram.com/iciclesdrippinTwitter: www.twitter.com/bosstredot
