Blending Escambia, County, Southern Soul, Gospel and R&B, she creates the sounds that take you too a time when music was filled with joy. A fun soundtrack to a great time. And her latest single "Jelly Roll," is nothing short of everything we have come to love from Raven Salve'.
The single "Jelly Roll" is from Raven Salve's debut album "Let's Dance the Mix." Jelly Roll holds all of the qualities of a dance classic. Raven's melodic voice tunes through notes so naturally, it's very refreshing in an age where digital trickery has outweighed natural talent. And the talent showcases from beginning to end in "Jelly Roll," as Raven sings about the love of her life, her shoulder to lean on...the ying to her yang...or better yet..the jam in her jelly roll.
An awesome single capturing the essence and feeling of love and it's power to uplift you, Jelly Roll is an instant classic. And the material isn't slowing down as Raven Salve' is preparing her upcoming release of the EP “Metamorphosis,” set for release by July 2018. In the mean time keep up with raven's moves and music @

In this clip, Rock from Heltah Skeltah gave the backstory to the scar on the side of his face. According to him, the scar is from a cut he suffered at the hands of a 32-year-old man he fought when he was just 16. Rock said that the guy who he characterized as having "muscles" was no match for his hand speed, something he isn't quite sure he has retained at this point in his life. he said the guy cut him but he isn't quite sure with what. Rock stated that he opted not to go to the hospital and instead look for the guy's home in search of retribution.
Rock later discussed the development of the legendary Boot Camp Clik and how Heltah Skeltah was formed. Rock talked about discovering Ruck and how they kept in contact while he was in jail. He said that they both had other music partners before forming their own group to which Rock initially thought was corny but while in jail he noticed his musical relationships with others began to fade while he and Ruck remained tight. He also gave Ruck credit for coming up with the name Heltah Skeltah which is actually the group's second name - the first name remains unspoken according to Rock. He went on to talk about the formula for success in hip-hop which he got from studying other artists and especially their debuts. Rock claims that no one has had a first-coming like Heltah Skeltah and the Boot Camp Clik in general.
