Trinidad James has only been rapping for 11 months, but he may have parlayed one hit record into a sizable record deal. There has been a bidding war for the Atlanta rapper ever since his song "All Gold Everything" started to bubble.
During his recent sold out show at Santos Party House in NYC it became clear that the song was not just a regional record as Trinidad performed it two times in a row for the enthusiastic crowd.
XXL reported that Joie Manda, Chris Atlas and Barry Weiss were in the house representing Def Jam Records and Mike Keyser from Atlantic Records was also in the building to watch Trinidad perform.
Now rumors are running rampant that Def Jam has cut Trinidad a $2 million check to join their roster that already includes Rihanna, Kanye West, 2 Chainz and Frank Ocean.
The news has people on Twitter talking. Check out some of the reactions below.

Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky has entered a guilty plea to charges of attempted grand larceny in connection with a fight that took place back in July in NYC between the rapper and two amateur photographers according to TMZ.
The photographers reportedly tried to take pics of Rocky while he was in the middle of an argument with a third person. Rocky got angry and attacked the two men while trying to take away their camera, which is where the larceny charge stems from.
A$AP was arrested at the time and charged with attempted robbery in the 2nd degree and assault, but because of his guilty plea those charges were dropped. He was sentenced to 3 days community service and ordered to pay a $250 fine. He must also stay out of trouble until his next court date in February.

It was a star-studded night at New York's Ziegfield Theater Tuesday December 11, for the premiere of director Quentin Tarantino's new film Django Unchained.
Tarantino, who was there with Uma Thurman talked about how movie came about.
"I had an idea for a long time of a slave who becomes a bounty hunter and goes out looking for white guys that used to be [plantation] overseers. But that wasn't a story, that was just an idea," Tarantino said while on the red carpet. "So for eight years or so that idea just fermented. And then about a year and a half ago the story came to me."
The film's stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Foxx, who plays Django, were also in attendance. For Foxx, accepting the lead role was an easy decision.
"First before I read the script it was Quentin Tarantino," Foxx said. "Being able to work with someone like that you're all in."
Others stars who attended the premiere included 50 Cent, Olivia Wilde, Christoph Waltz, Don Johnson, Zoe Kravitz, Zach Braff, Sharon Osbourne, Liv Tyler, Q-Tip and John Legend.
Django Unchained opens nationwide on December 25.
