Terry Carter's family doesn't buy what Suge Knight is selling when it comes to the man he once called a friend.
Carter was killed when Suge ran over him with his truck after hitting another man he had been fighting with, Cle "Bone" Sloane. The incident happened at a hamburger restaurant on January 29, following another fight Suge was involved in on the Compton set of the N.W.A. movie Straight Outta Compton.
Knight's legal team is banking on video of the fatal hit-and-run exonerating their client. They're argument is that Sloane attacked him and Knight took off in his truck because he was in fear for his life. The resulting death of Carter was an accident.
Carter's family thinks the video released byTMZ proves just the opposite. They say Knight was so determined to kill Sloane with his truck after being attacked that it put Carter in the position of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Cle "Bone" Sloane (left) was run over and injured by Suge Knight after they fought at a burger joint in Compton
In their estimation Carter's death was murder and self defense had nothing to do with it.
"The death was caused by unnecessary acts of violence initiated by Cle [Bone] Sloan attacking Mr. Knight and Mr. Knight choosing to retaliate by using his motor vehicle as a deadly weapon." Carter's family lawyer told TMZ.
The attorney added that Suge is lying about Carter being the one who set him up to be ambushed by Sloane.

Waka Flocka Flame was scheduled to perform at the University of Oklahoma next month, but the rapper is taking a stance and cancelling the show after video surfaced of members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity chanting racially offensive language aimed at African Americans.
Aswe previously reported, the fraternity was filmed while on a bus chanting: "There will never be a nigger in SAE. You can hand 'em from a tree, but they'll never side with me. There will never be a nigger in SAE."
Waka took to his Instagram account to announce that he won't be appearing at the university, although he doesn't blame the entire nationwide fraternity for the ignorance of a few.
UniversityPresident David Boren disbanded the local chapter of SAE effective immediately. Members have until midnight Tuesday to remove their personal belongings from the fraternity house.
"Effective immediately, all ties and affiliations between this University and the local SAE chapter are hereby severed. I direct that the house be closed and that members will remove their personal belongings from the house by midnight tomorrow," he said.

Big Tbrings out the heat to warm things up on a cold Monday. The world renowned battle rapper teams up withLil ChiandM-Ofor a new collaboration entitled"Look At Me Now."
NORMAN, Okla. (Associated Press) — The president of the University of Oklahoma lambasted members of a fraternity on Monday who participated in a racist chant caught on video, calling them disgraceful and their behavior reprehensible, and ordered that their house be vacated by Tuesday night.
President David Boren joined students at a pre-dawn rally on the Norman campus, just hours after Sigma Alpha Epsilon said an investigation confirmed the contents of the online video and announced it was closing the local chapter.
The video shows several people chanting a racial slur and indicating blacks would never be admitted to the fraternity. The chant also references lynching.
"These people have acted in a way that's absolutely reprehensible and disgraceful," Boren said. "Real Sooners are not bigots, racists."
The national fraternity released a statement Sunday night saying it was "embarrassed" by the "unacceptable and racist" behavior. Boren later released a statement saying members had until midnight Tuesday to remove their personal belongings from the fraternity house.
A link to the video was posted by OU Unheard, a black student group on campus, after someone anonymously called it to the group's attention, communications director Alexis Hall said Monday.
"We immediately needed to share that with the OU student body," said Hall, a junior. "For students to say they're going to lynch an entire group of people. ... It's disgusting."
It's unclear who recorded the video, when it was recorded and who initially posted it online. Hill said a link to the video was sent Sunday afternoon to the student group, which formed in the fall in response to a fatal police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.
The video appears to have been taken on a charter bus, with at least one of the chanting students wearing a tuxedo.
"I was shocked they were just doing it openly on the bus, like they were proud of it," said Jared Scarborough, a junior in construction science. "From the chant you could tell they had done it before. It wasn't a first-time thing. And it was everybody. And the fist-pumping."
A university police cruiser was parked Monday outside the fraternity house, a sprawling two-story, sand-colored brick building on a street lined with Greek houses just west of the center of campus.
The University of Oklahoma, located in the southern Oklahoma City suburb of Norman, has about 27,000 students, about 5 percent of whom are black. The Greek system is largely segregated.
Ahead of a late-morning news conference, Boren said fraternity members had "violated all that we stand for."
"Effective immediately, all ties and affiliations between this University and the local SAE chapter are hereby severed. I direct that the house be closed and that members will remove their personal belongings from the house by midnight tomorrow," he said.

As we previously reported, Suge was involved in a fight with security when he went to visit the set of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton on Thursday, January 29, in Compton, California.
The fight spilled over to a nearby hamburger restaurant. In the video Suge can be seen pulling his red truck into the parking lot of the burger joint where he is confronted by Cle "Bone"Sloane, an actor and well known former member of the Athens Park Bloods.
Sloane walks up to the truck and appears to struggle with Knight, who is still sitting in the driver's seat, before the former Death Row Records CEO backs up knocking Sloane to the ground. Suge then pulls forward, running over Sloane and Terry Carter.

Carter was killed instantly. Sloane suffered severe injuries to his leg. Suge then flees the scene without stopping. The video was released by TMZ with the blessing of Carter's family.

After hearing some of Garc Barz’ recent work, The best term I could use to describe his style would be 'Just Right'. His recent work has not only showcased a flow that appeals to the listeners of today, but he incorporates burst of some extremely intelligent lyrics. As we travel deeper into his new EP we start to see a lot of diversity. He is very capable of making music with an up tempo rhythm and aggressive sound, and then dial back with a track like "Time Is Money' which has more of a laid back melody . In our interview, Garc explained his target audience being "anyone willing to listen".
Stating that his goal was to show the world that he is not a one dimensional artist. Garc Barz made it very apparent that he is not limited to one sound. Although his EP has a taste of different styles of Hip Hop, he still brings it all together and manages to keep the tape flowing nicely and creating anticipation for the next song.
We may be watching the rise of a very significant force in the Hip Hop community. This kind of lyricism, mixed with captivating instrumentals and an entrepreneurial spirit is a great formula for success in this industry. Whether Garc will take full advantage of these gifts remains to be seen. Either way we hope to hear more from him in the near future.
