The Weeknd may sing love songs, but that doesn't mean he won't put them paws on you if need be.
The 25-year old Canadian, real name Abel Tesfaye, was arrested on Saturday, January 10, in Las Vegas and charged with battery of a protected person.
According to TMZ, Tesfaye was involved in a brawl at the Cromwell Hotel around 4:20 AM. When police arrived fists were still flying. One cop managed to pull Tesfaye into an elevator where the singer allegedly punched him in the head.
After posting bail Tesfaye posted an Instagram photo of himself headed for a flight out of town with the caption: "Escaped from Las Vegas."
