LeBron James took another huge step towards cementing his legacy as one of the best to ever play in the NBA, as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics by a score of 135-102 Thursday, May 25, to advance to the NBA Finals.
James scored 35 points in the game and 5,989 points in his postseason career. That surpassed Michael Jordan's 5,987. The feat makes James the all-time NBA playoff scoring leader.
Jordan achieved his scoring mark in 179 games from 1985-2003.
King James played in his 212th playoff game last night.
The Cavaliers will now face off against the Golden State Warriors in a best-of-7 championship series beginning on June 1st.
