Video After The Jump
Twenty years ago today we lost one of the greatest emcees to ever live. The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace, was just 24-years old when an unknown assailant shot him to death in Los Angeles.
The Brooklyn, New York native had not even reached his peak, yet he lyrically stood tall over his counterparts.
Both of his solo albums, "Ready to Die" (1994) and "Life After Death" (1997) are widely considered to be classics.
Biggie also introduced the world to Lil Kim and Lil Cease as part of his group Junior M.A.F.I.A. They released one album in 1995 titled "Conspiracy," which spawned the hit songs "Player's Anthem" and "Get Money."
Wherever you're at, pop in a Biggie Smalls CD and raise a toast to a true legend of hip hop. May he rest in peace.
