This is one rumor that would be great if it turned out to be true. The New York Daily News is reporting that Nas, Common and Q-Tip could be forming a super group.
Common and Q-Tip formed The Standard in 2007, although they have yet to release any music. That could soon change as Q-Tip is currently in the studio working on his solo album which would free him up afterwards.
The Daily News reports that an insider has told them The Standard would like to add a third MC to the group. Given the fact that Common and Nas are already planning on releasing a joint album, it would not be far fetched to see Nas join The Standard.
When asked if he would be working with Q-Tip and Common on their project Nas told the Daily News, "definitely."
