Here's what we know about the incident. Koppenhaver showed up unannounced at the home of porn star Christy Mack. Koppenhaver, who has been active on Twitter while on the run, claims he showed up to give Christy and engagement ring, but Christy says he broke up with her in May.
When Koppenhaver arrived at the home there was another man already there. The 32-year old attacked the man then threw him out of the house. He then turned his attention to Christy. He made her stip and shower before beating her up. She suffered 18 broken bones, a fractured rib, lost and broken teeth, and lesions to her hand, ear and head from a knife Koppenhaver pressed against her.
Koppenhaver attempted to rape his former girlfriend, but could not get erect. He also cut off chunks of her hair.
He's taken to Twitter to plead his case.
