We caught up with a new artist in the game and his name is JLD

[Interview] Introducing @jldmusic
Favorite color?
Blue
Favorite food?
Too Many to choose from but what sticks out the most is around holiday time like Christmas - Dressing,  Greens, Mac&Cheese, Turkey Etc.
Favorite artist and why?
A few have inspired me,  Michael JacksonBrian McKnight,  Joe,  Brandy,  Kim Burrell,  Darryl Coley,  Prince,  Fred Hammond,  Beyonce, India Arie
What age was you when you got bit by the bug the music bug that is?
I have been surrounded by music since I was born… it runs on both sides from singers to musicians it hit me very early
Who was some of your role models while coming up in the music industry?
Coming up I was exposed to a guy that I will never forget,  he was one of the Head Choir Directors at my church his name was Ricky Linton… his vocals were Ridiculous I mean perfect pitch when he was going over different parts …even when he whistled it was perfect as well,  if I’m not mistaking he worked with Aretha Franklin early on when he was younger,  they’re runs and riffs vocally were very similar.  One of my last conversations I had with him was that I asked him to train me,  He told me yes and I was so excited,  I promised I was going to be a sponge… soaking up all the his techniques.  I shortly found out he was sick,  not to long after he passed and we never got a chance to work together but he was definitely a true role model for me coming up …someone I will never forget!
What made you decide to get in your genre of music?
I have roots in Church and it will always be my foundation… Pop/R&B/Hip Hop and Country is what I connected to when I started my pursuit… So I wanted to leave an Imprint of my own expressing myself through these Genre’s
What's the name of your first single?
Tap Out
How did you come up with the name?
I wanted to choose something that was easy to remember and that Stood out as well,  so those two words together are already familiar with people’s minds so it was a easy decision to make.
What is your feed back on the direction of hip hop?
Hip Hop like every Genre is always evolving and I personally feel that the balance of what is happening with today styles and the foundation that was laid in the very beginning will come together and create
the future of the Genre
If you could do a collabo with any artist who would it be and why?
Brandy,  Beyonce,  Drake,  Kanye,  Taylor Swift to name a few.  The bodies of work these artist’s have laid is Unprecedented,  they all have took risks expressing themselves and I fill that our chemistry will compliment each other to the fullest so I hope in the near future I will be able to work with all of them at some point.
So how does it  feel to get your music out to the masses?
Truly it is a dream come true… or I should say My Dream meeting my Reality and My Reality meeting my Destiny I am Truly Overwhelmed with just knowing I have the opportunity to present my visions,  my perceptions,  my idea's musically to the world.
Tell us a little bit about your self?
I have a Strong Spiritual background…I’ve always had a love for Art in the form of Creating.  I highly respect and have a love for acting… there is nothing like being captured by a moment for those few seconds taking you hostage (Action/Adventure and Sci-fi, and of course Comedy). I’m laid back but I can be very spontaneous… I wouldn’t call myself a comedian but I have made a lot of people laugh… I am Very Determined,  Disciplined,  strong willed,  I'm not afraid to take a risk for what I believe in.  Basketball is my first choice when it comes to sports… My Jump shot is Crazy… No Rim is safe! I have done a lot of Jobs but all Roads have led back to Music… its who I am.

During a time when everyone is a rapper, and every rapper packs their verses with lies about a lifestyle they never lived, in hopes to capture your attention and love, we are fortunate to have that rare artist breakthrough and make us think twice about what music rides with us in the morning to work or joins us at the gym in the evening. When every other rapper is telling stories of riches and glamour, Ali is regular guy working in the trenches, and when every other rapper sounds the same, Ali is drawing envy from the artist he is opening for! When you leave your favorite rappers concert, and you can’t help but think about the guy that opened up the show, that’s Ali Cashius Jr.

[Album] @alicashiusjr 'The Barrio Boombox'
Ali began garnering respect as a rapper on the desolate Southwest Side of Detroit. He would battle any rapper at his High School and then sneak into night clubs around the city to battle grown men at the age of 16. Because of his mixed race, he had to learn to clap back quickly at kids who would target his ethnicity. With a father from the war torn country of Yemen, and a mother from Puerto Rico, Ali was constantly questioned about his nationality. Battle rap became less important daily, as Ali grew more frustrated watching his mother struggle with two jobs. With an absent father figure and a mother who was forced to bare the role of provider, Ali was left to come and go as he pleased, roaming the gang and drug infested streets on Detroit’s Southwest side. Losing friends to gang wars and drug deals gone wrong, Ali quickly learned that the place he loved could also be his downfall.
From that moment, he realized he had to use his gift to tell his story and be a voice for the friends he lost. Financial troubles continued to follow Ali and his mother, so he decided to take matters into his own hands, and the traveling began. He moved from Detroit to Atlanta, Baltimore, and eventually Phoenix. With growth comes sacrifice, and moving led Ali to miss the funeral of one of his best friends in Detroit. A three-day Greyhound trip, and Ali arrived back in the city one hour after his friend’s funeral ended. Devastated by loss and frustration, Ali vowed to not return home until he could make his family proud and prove all the people who doubted him wrong.
Since moving out West, Ali Cashius Jr. now has followers around the world who support the movement and new wave.

Some of this Music now-a-days are starting to sound just alike. Then Clip Monstar emerged. This Young man has attacked the industry in a "I WILL EARN IT MY SELF, RESPESCT MY HUSTLE" type of way. This Artist is one of our favorite artist! We've finally caught up with Clip. Below we will discuss his New Single "MadBag" one of the best new singles out. Clip! Lets Get it.......[Interview] Introducing Clip Monstar

#1.When did you start rapping and what got you in it? What/Who inspired you to start?

I've always enjoyed making music, producing, ect. Since middle school or as long as I remember. But to actually try out rapping, it was a good friend of mine called Mac, that got me to start writing. I never took anything serious, until 5 years ago when I started Monstar the label.

#2. How would you describe your musical style?

Aggressive, lyrical, inspirational, strange, hype

#3. Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Eminem, ludacris, cassidy, joyner lucas

#4. How do you manage to separate yourself from all the other rappers that are going hard right now?

My image definitely helps, I also handle my business, I host parties, manage, promote, book, make flyers, a little bit of photography,… I am the total package, minus the singing lol

#5. Congrats on the new single "MadBag". How was your approach with this single different than your previous projects?

Honestly, my first thought for my next single, was to link up with Lil Donald. Because he has a sound that can go in any party scene. And all we did is meet up and knock it out. I wanted to keep lyrical content kind of simple, not too many punchlines, so people in party mode can comprehend and chant.

#6. What are some of the platforms you would like to take on in the future? Meaning (Music Awards, Hiphop Awards....)

Definitely music awards, BET, possibly acting roles, grammies, I want to be noticed on a global scale.

#7. I heard you had a true entourage? That Nothing is regular about Monstar Productions!

Yeah, the entourage is crazy. The following is so dope, because there's always new people that go with me to my shows. I believe I have the most solid, genuine, and diverse team. Hands down.

#8. The streets are talking and Clip Monstar seems to be the topic of the discussion. What makes you so loved in the streets of Atlanta?

I just show love to everyone, and I never put anyone down or feel like I'm above them. I try to put money in everyone's pockets, whether its another artist, a promoter, a DJ. It's all about relationships. I do good business. And I go hard, so you have to respect the hustle.

#9. Who are some artists that you’d like to work with in the future?

Joyner Lucas, eminem of course, but my spotlight right now, is Joyner. That’s my favorite artist out right now., but I am open to work with any artist that is working towards the same goal as me.

#10. What can we expect from you in the near future? Fill us in with what’s going on around you right now.

My next goal is tour!! I've been staying busy with shows every other night. I will be releasing a new EP within few months #Evolve2 Shooting 3 more music videos by summer.

Give a Shout out...... The whole Monstar movement, from the artist to the fighters, models, promoters,,, the entire team. Without a solid team, you can only go so far.

As Clip would say, "Stay true to yourself, but be openminded to different avenues. As an artist, it’s easy to get side tracked or discouraged in this life style. Just keep pushing"

During the dark time of incarceration Rashad Styx Brown positively channeled his thoughts into writing raps on a daily basis. He had left at a young age & realized just cause he was away Time wouldn't wait for anyone. Hearing the frequently changed details from hood to the industry, that he soon wanted to enter made him determine to convey a different message. The hood he once loved changed so drastically, where long time friends became rivals, and loyalty became a distant memory. Industry took a turn where he felt everyone’s style became identical. “Been Official" was his way of relaying that through the circumstances he faced he had remained authentic in true to himself. He mentioned he would never fold under pressure nor befriend a foe to fit in he was made to stand out. Styx was family orientated & the Few Friends he did have became his family. Missing out on the opportunity of his youth despite feeling he had hit rock bottom he chose to remain optimistic knowing this could only get better from there. [Mixtape] @BG_Styx 'Been Official'

[Single] @MonroeKush "I'm Off"

Jackson, Miss.- Mississippi-based rapper/ singer/ songwriter Infinite Starr Le Flair (AKA Monroe Kush) has initiated a champagne campaign from Maine to Spain like she was running for the presidency with seductively scandalous Country Boy Music-released hit single “I’m Off.”

Artwork-Infinite-Starr-Le-Flair-Im-Off-WEB-VERSION-Explicit-1500x1500-1024x1024.jpg?width=553

Since its unofficial release last April, the single has grown legs on its own and caught on like a raging wildfire. In a handful of months, it has been featured on the top six hip-hop mixtapes in the country, enjoyed more than half-a-million online streams, boasts over 100,000 physical downloads and is spinning in mixshow rotation on several select radio stations across the Mid-South.

“We sent the song to a few DJs around the country to test the markets. We were planning to officially drop it next year,” Infinite explains. “But before we knew anything, they had been playing it in strip clubs and on radio mixshows. So the DJs picked the song for us.”

Killing them softly with biting, bitter/sweet vocals over menacing, mid-tempo production and hypnotizing chimes, the momentum continues to grow. And Infinite has no plans of letting up any time soon.
“I’ve gotten so much attention for my music because I’m not afraid to experiment with the music and create my own sound,” she reveals. “That’s how I’ve been able to grow my own fan base organically. A lot of people are looking for a female artist to fill that creative niche.”

Fulfilling that “niche” is exactly what she has been doing since dropping her smashing debut mixtape Bi Mi Self/Gotta Be Me in 2006. Since then, she has built her brand from ground up with more than a dozen mixtapes, numerous awards and fans across the South and East Coast.

Last year, she set the industry on its ear as host of Strictly 4 Traps ‘N Trunks mixtape entitled Mississippi Edition, featuring exclusive music from Def Jam/ Universal artist Big K.R.I.T., as well as many of the state’s brightest underground talents including Joker 2 Cold, Lil Mal, Kamikaze and Hollywood Luck, among others.

She also teamed up with rappers Sachmoe Phlanagan and Archangel for a sizzling hot collaborative project Jack Of All Trades Street Tapes Vol. 1. The 16-track mixtape is presented by Traps-N-Trunks, DJ Bigg V and DJ 1200 and includes special appearances by DJ Scream, Zaytoven, DJ Winn and comedian JJ Williamson of Johnson's Family Vacation.

Throughout her career, she was awarded Best Female Rap Artist two years in a row by the Jackson Music Awards, nominated for Best Female Mixtape by the Southern Entertainment Awards and nominated for an Indie Music Top 25 Award by the Indie-Music Awards.

Continuing to keep the momentum going full speed ahead, she continues to top herself with latest banger “I’m Off” and is readying the release of upcoming EP Eight Talk, scheduled to drop summer 2018.

“My whole career has been based off grinding and selling CDs,” Infinite admits. “I grind. I have only one goal in mind, and that's showing the world that I was born to do this!”
