Michael Jackson’s family are furious after being snubbed by the Grammy Awards. The late 'Thriller’ star – who died from an acute Propofol intoxication last June – was honoured with a special musical tribute to mark being given a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award but organisers failed to invite his siblings, including those who performed in The Jackson 5 with him, to the star-studded music awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday (31.01.10). His brother and former bandmate Randy tweeted: "So proud, my brother being honoured tonight with the Lifetime Achievement Award. My family would love to be there but, truth is, we weren't invited. "Do you want more truth? Let me be clear. When I said 'my family' I meant my brothers, sisters and parents." Michael’s three children, Paris, 11, Prince Michael I, 12, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II – aka Blanket – were there to honour their father but Randy is convinced the children were only invited as an afterthought. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Randy was incandescent. He believed the Grammys only thought of including Michael's children at the 11th hour as dad Joe Jackson complained there was no family representation. "The brothers were hoping to attend and wear their silver gloves and matching suits to honour their brother. They feel insulted and hurt that they have been snubbed in this way. Michael would've wanted them there. "The Jackson 5 was where the magic began. They're a huge part of his story and felt they had been horribly overlooked." The eldest children took to the stage wearing black suits with red armbands to accept the late 'Thriller’ singer’s award – which he was given for his contribution to the music industry, while Blanket remained backstage with his grandmother Katherine Jackson. A source said: 'Michael’s children themselves decided just Prince Michael I and Paris would speak on stage and accept the award on behalf of their dad.' Meanwhile, Michael’s older brother Tito – who along with the 'Billie Jean’ star, Randy, and siblings Jermaine, Jackie, and Marlon had performed with The Jacksons - is being sued after allegedly failing to perform at a tribute show for his brother in the US. Promoter Roy Isaac has told Tito to repay the £4,700 he was paid for the concert within 30 days or he could face legal action. Music-News Underground Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

HipHopWired Reports Known globally for her success as a member of the Hip-Hop group Salt-n-Pepa, Sandra “Pepa” Denton has taken time to look back at her history. While reminiscing she goes back to the time when she was talking to rapper turned actor Will Smith and has shown some regret to not actually dating Smith. In an interview that was posted by GlobalGrind the former rapper gives an account of her encounter with the Fresh Prince. "I thought Will was really cute and we would hang out a lot on the road. He liked to take care of me and never let me spend a dime. He was that kind of guy, real generous. I remember when they won their first award, he asked me to go out with him afterward. He was so excited. We were walking along the street getting ready to grab something to eat, and he just gave this homeless guy $100 dollars…I sometimes kick myself when I think about what could have been. He was so nice to me, but I really wasn't feeling him. I guess I couldn't appreciate a nice guy like Will Smith. He wasn't thug enough. I was attracted to thugs and hoodlums. Will was too nice to me." As with most women in their early ages, the tough guy seemed to be more of an appeal as opposed to what Smith had to offer. "I liked people like Louis Burrell (MC Hammer's brother). He was rough, he was street and he didn't pull any punches. He would walk around with a cane and pimp hat. He always referred to women as b**ches." Even with all that, I liked him." Denton released her autobiography Let's Talk About Pep in August 2008 where she chronicled her life and gave a behind the scenes glimpse of the fame, family, failures and accomplishments that accompanied her during her peak as a celebrity. In it she speaks on her relationships and dealing with failed marriages and trying to escape from domestic abuse. Now no factual names were released in the book and pseudonyms replaced names but everyone can read between the lines and make their own judgment to who she may or may not be referring to.

Pepa, along with her partner in rhyme Salt, are currently stepping in to take the place of Wendy Williams for her radio show as she had journeyed out to television and left the radio business behind her. Along with that there are rumors that she will be partnering with TLC member Chilli to have a series that should premier on VH1 in 2010. Now ladies, particularly the younger generation of the African-American community, this may be a reflection of situations that you have continuously placed yourself in while the dating realm thinking that the nice guy is unappealing and wanting that thug. Clearly it might be time to take a close look at the end of the tunnel because the thug remains the thug whereas nice guys, such as Will Smith, go on to make multi-million dollar movies on a yearly basis. Now if that's not saying anything then hey enjoy that lifestyle of dealing with the man constantly on the run. That has to be exciting.

MTV Reports Joe Jackson famously launched his sons, the Jackson 5, into superstardom, laying the groundwork for Michael Jackson's legendary career. And, in a "Good Morning America" interview on Friday (July 10), the family patriarch seemed to think Michael's children have bright futures in entertainment. "I don't know — I keep watching Paris," he said, referring to Jackson's middle child, who spoke memorably at her father's memorial on Tuesday. "She ... wants to do something. And as far as I can see, well, they say Blanket [Michael's youngest child, Prince Michael II], he can really dance." In the interview, when asked who should get custody of Blanket, Paris and Prince, he said he felt they should stay with the Jacksons, and specifically with Joe and his reportedly estranged wife, Katherine. "Their grandmother — Katherine — and I" should raise them, he said. "Yes, there's no one else to do what we can do for them. We should keep them all together and then make them happy, feed 'em like they're supposed to be fed, and let them get rest, plenty of sleep and grow up to be strong Jacksons." He noted that Katherine, who currently has custody of the kids and may face a custody battle, hasn't had an easy time since Jackson's death last month. "She's taking it real hard," Joe said. "When you start talking about Michael, she starts crying." Joe said he is awaiting toxicology reports to return about Michael's cause of death. "I just couldn't believe what was happening to Michael," he said. "I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that. Yes."
