LOS ANGELES (Associated Press) — Grammy-winning musician Chris Brown's neighbors are unhappy with what some are calling frightening art he's chosen to have painted along the curb of his Hollywood Hills home.
A neighborhood group said the grimacing, sharp-toothed, red-eyed goblins painted along a retaining wall have been scaring local children, and is an eyesore to boot, the Los Angeles Times reported.
"There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they're literally frightened. It's like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we're used to," Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association, told the newspaper.
L.A. city code officials responded to complaints about the monster art and cited the "Run It!" singer $376 for unpermitted and excessive signage.
Under city ordinances, it's illegal to create murals on most private properties. Though that didn't stop Madonna from painting her Hollywood Hills home in red and yellow stripes in the 1990s.
Brown has been ordered to remove the goblin paintings within 30 days, but his attorney Mark Geragos said the musician is not backing down.
"They are trying to suspend the First Amendment," Geragos said.
Geragos alleges neighbors are harassing Brown, and have also made parking complaints about him and called animal control.
In a telephone interview with The Associated Press Saturday, Negri said all she wants is for Brown to "tone it down and be a better neighbor."
Brown's tumultuous relationship with singer Rihanna and foul-mouthed Twitter presence have given him a bad boy reputation.
Brown won a Grammy in 2011 for Best R&B Album with "F.A.M.E." and was arrested shortly after the 2009 awards ceremony for assaulting Rihanna.
"I know a $300 fine is probably pocket change. But hopefully and maybe, he'll just see the light and decide to be a good neighbor," Negri told the Times. "We're happy to have him — if he just tones it down."

I’ve gotten introduced to designers on blogs or Instagram. If I see something I love, I will follow the trail. I find a lot of fashion on Pinterest. I wish you could see my page right now. For me, it’s an inspiration. I usually pull stuff, like ‘I want to look this rock-chic-sexy. This is the look I aspire to.’
Lip Lock is set to be released on May 14th.

Mike Tyson has been on the big screen and on Broadway. He will next appear on your television screen as an animated character in a new Adult Swim cartoon.
The network announced Friday that the former boxing champion will voice a character and make live action appearances on the "Mike Tyson Mysteries."
On the show, a cartoon version of Tyson will solve wacky problems, assisted by a trusty associate: a foul-mouthed pet pigeon.
The show is set to air next season according to the New York Daily News.

Snoop Lion is out the IRS' doghouse.
The government agency filed a tax lien against the West Coast rapper back in February, claiming he had unpaid taxes for the years 2009 and 2011 to the tune of $546,270.29.
According to TMZ , Snoop cleared everything up last month by paying off his debt in full.

29-year old bus driver Patrice Sanders is in a lot of trouble after she arranged for two teens to fight in front of her home.
On Thursday of this week Sanders heard two girls, ages 13 and 16, arguing on her bus in Lakeland, Florida.
She told them, "This is going to be handled today and they just need to fight." The 13-year old didn't want to fight, but that didn't stop Sanders from skipping the rest of the bus stops, driving 20 miles to her house. She ordered all 34 students off the bus to watch the fight.
Authorities say she offered the girls Vaseline so their faces wouldn't get scratched.
At least one student filmed the fight while Sanders stood by and watched until the girls were exhausted. After getting all of the students back on the bus, the two girls started to fight again. Sanders stopped the bus and let them continue to scrap, telling the students, "What happens on the bus, stays on the bus."
The 13-year old's mother reported the incident to police and took her daughter to the hospital to be examined. She did not have any serious injuries.
Sanders was arrested and charged with child abuse, neglect, false imprisonment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Nick Cannon is in talks to bring Soul Train back to the airwaves. The R&B variety show became a big hit after if was created by Don Cornelius in 1971.
Soul Train became known for it's in-studio dancers, performances by top R&B acts and Cornelius' parting catchphrase: "And as always in parting, we wish you love, peace and soul!"
The show ended production after the 2005-2006 season.
According to Vibe, Cannon would like to bring the show back with a modern day format that would include today's popular rap and R&B acts as guest performers.
