Various news reports confirm that 25-year old singer Simone Battle has died.
Battle was a finalist on X-Factor USA in 2011. She was later selected by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin to be in the group, G.R.L.
A joint statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records reads:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”

According to TMZ, Simone was found hanging in the closet of her West Hollywood apartment at 8:30 A.M. on Friday, September, 5.
An autopsy has not been completed, but it's suspected the singer committed suicide
