Busta Rhymes was arrested and charged with second degree assault, after he allegedly hit a man with a bottle of Muscle Milk while at a New York City gym on Wednesday, August 5.
The 43-year old rapper, real name Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., got into an argument with another workout warrior at the at Steel Gym in Manhattan. The disagreement led to the tossing of the protein shake.
Scott Leemon, Busta's attorney, told TMZ this was a frivolous attempt to get money out of his client.
"This is another attempt to take advantage of Busta's celebrity status," Leemon said.
Busta has been released from jail on his own recognizance.
