Video After The Jump
One hit wonder Afroman was jailed Tuesday night, February 17, after brutally punching a female fan in the face.
The rapper was performing in Biloxi, Mississippi when a female fan holding a drink got onstage and danced while he played guitar. She danced and purposely rubbed her butt against him when he inexplicably hauled off and punched her with a blow that would have knocked out most men.
The victim was reportedly crying and bleeding when she stood up, but Afroman kept on performing as if nothing had happened. A male fan climbed onstage to help her leave.
The show was halted and Afroman, real name Joseph Foreman was hauled off to jail. His rep told TMZ that Foreman didn't know if the fan was a male or female and just reacted. He blamed poor venue security.
He was released from jail after posting $330. Prior to Tuesday, Afroman was best known for his 2001 song "Because I Got High."
**UPDATE**
Afroman has issued an apology for hitting the female fan. He says he mistook her a male fan who had been heckling him the whole show. Watch what he has to say below.
