2 Chainz's line of Dabbin' Santa Ugly Christmas Sweaters were a big hit this year. The rapper told Forbes he made close to $2 million selling the merchandise.
"Me and my team were trying to come up with some successful designs to get our merch moving. We took the dab, which is a trend, and we just turned it into a business," he said. "We played around with a few designs. We realized what my fanbase wants to see. I don’t want people to think this was an overnight success. We’ve been trying with a bunch of designs for a couple years now. This is just timing meets opportunity. There’s the whole dab thing, and Atlanta’s always been somewhere that actually moves the culture a little bit. We have been the backbone of hip-hop for the past couple years. So with dabbing coming out of Atlanta, it just began to grow legs and start moving on its own."
The "I'm Different" hit maker used some of the funds he made to give back to the community via his T.R.U. Foundation.
7-year-old Antonio Jones
A woman by the name of Julie Williams English started a GoFundMe page to help out a family in Atlanta who suffered burns and severe smoke inhalation and lost most of their belongings when a fire swept through their home back in September.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 8-year-old Damien Walker, 7-year-old Antonio Jones, 12-year old Damiana Jones and their mother Tamifonika Jones were all hospitalized. 9-year old Makiyah escaped serious injury. Their father, Damien Walker, was at work at the time of the fire.
Antonio now suffers from brain damage and impaired vision.
2 Chainz heard about the family's predicament and bought them a mini-van.

"Great News! Last week I was contacted by the manager of the rap artist 2 Chainz. 2 Chainz offered to buy the family a mini-van! We surprised the family with a 2008 Honda Odyssey," English wrote on the GoFundMe page. "They were so excited!!! This is exactly what I had prayed for and God saw it through! With the donations I received from those who donated to the fund we were able to pay for insurance on the car so thank you so much! We are still accepting donations because there are many things the family will need in the next year. With your financial help it makes things a little bit easier. Join me in celebrating this great news! I thank you for your financial support and prayers for this family."
Deirdre Plater and her son were overwhelmed by 2 Chainz's generosity
2 Chainz also helped out a disabled veteran, Deirdre Plater, of Palmetto, Georgia, who is a single mom struggling to find a job and take care of her son at the same time. They were living in an apartment that had no furniture when the rapper came through with a check to pay their rent for a year and furnished their place.
"I'm just really overwhelmed and overjoyed that someone would do something this nice for me," Plater said. "It's been a struggle being a single parent. Especially of a little boy and he's a teenager now. It's the peril of working at home or commuting, just to make sure he's OK. And not really having anybody to help you. I'm just ecstatic right now."
"My dad was a veteran. He passed a couple of years ago. He was in the Army. He jumped out of airplanes for a living. So it’s just charity, period, for me," he told Forbes "This was a case that needed a little help from the outside. It was a veteran household. I came from that, so I understand it. They had no furniture, they were living month-to-month. I just wanted to relieve some of that stress. I just felt like, if I gave them a year’s cushion, which no one ever offered me, it would be a good opportunity."
Be on the lookout for a clothing line from the rapper in 2016. We're looking foward to hearing more stories of him giving back to those in need. Truuuuuuuuu...
