Police believe they have solved the case involving the murder of fast rising Far Rockaway, Queens, New York rapper Chinx.
Chinx, born Lionel Pickens, was gunned down while sitting in the driver's seat of his Porsche Panamera on a street in Queens May 17, 2015.
On Thursday, December 15, two men were arrested in connection with the shooting.
Fox 5 New York reports that Jamar Hill, 26, and Quincy Homere, 32, were taken into custody. They have been charged with one count each of second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, they each face up to 25 years to life in prison.
The two reportedly “hunted down Chinx like an animal” because of an argument they had over a phone while locked up in Rikers Island. They made it their mission to kill him. according to sources close to the investigation.
