A 13-year-old boy is facing a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a man outside a Fort Worth Kroger last month, police say.
Fort Worth police were called around 7:40 a.m. June 22 to a Kroger in the 9100 block of Camp Bowie West Boulevard and found a man who had been shot in the chest.
He was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the man as 36-year-old Spenser Joseph Slavik.
Three juveniles were detained at the scene as possible suspects, police said. An arrest warrant for murder was issued for a 13-year-old, who has since been arrested.
The name of the 13-year-old was not released because he is a juvenile.
Police said there are no other suspects in the shooting. No other details were made available.
