When actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman passed away in February he left behind a sizable estate, estimated to be worth $35 million.

However, in his will he didn't leave any of it to children, son Cooper, 10, and daughters Tallulah, 7, and Willa, 5. Instead the entire fortune was left to his girlfriend and mother of the children, Marianne (Mimi) O'Donnell.

According to the New York Daily News, attorney James Cahill was appointed as the children's guardian. Cahill filed papers filed in Manhattan Surrogate Court, recalling a conversation he had with Hoffman's accountant, David Freidman.

"Specifically, Mr. Friedman recalled that (Hoffman) told him he did not want his children to be considered 'trust fund' kids. (Hoffman) advised Friedman that Mimi would take care of the children,"

The will was drafted in 2004 after his son was born. His only request was that his son be "raised in a city with art and culture." New York, San Francisco or Chicago were his preferences.
