Miami Heat player Chris Bosh was the victim of a major burglary Wednesday night. Thieves slipped into his Miami Beach home and walked away with $479,000 worth of cash, jewelry and purses.
-- 12 watches (worth $300k) -- 2 rings ($4,000) -- several purses ($155,000) -- $20,000 in cash
According to TMZ, Bosh's kids, another teenager and two babysitters were in the home at the time of the burglary, but none of them heard a thing.
Police say the thieves took their time and handpicked all of the items they wanted. Bosh's championship ring was spared.
The player and his wife, Adrienne, were out celebrating his 29th birthday at the time of the break in. When they got home they realized their closet had been ransacked. Bosh contacted his security director and his assistant. Police were called at 12:30 a.m.
There were no signs of forced entry, however two doors were unlocked.
"We are leaning on the side of this being an inside job," Miami Beach Police spokesman Bobby Hernandez told NBC Miami.
Police are interviewing the babysitters and checking to see if any contractors had been to the home recently.
The home is equipped with surveillance cameras and an alarm. The alarm wasn't activated because the babysitters were there. Authorities are reviewing tape from the cameras looking for leads

Jay-Z and director Baz Luhrmann have recruited up an all-star lineup for the soundtrack to the upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby.
Jay, who executive produced the soundtrack will contribute a song. Other artists include Lana Del Ray, Beyonce, Andre 3000, will.i.am, Fergie, Q Tip, Florence + The Machine, Gotye, Jack White and more.
"The Great Gatsby is that classic American story of one's introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion. It's ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist. The imagination Baz brought to 'Moulin Rouge!' made it a masterpiece, and 'Romeo + Juliet's' score wasn't just in the background; the music became a character. This film's vision and direction has all the makings of an epic experience," JAY Z said in a statement.
"F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel is peppered with contemporary music references specific to the story's setting of 1922. While we acknowledge, as Fitzgerald phrased it, 'the Jazz Age,' and this is the period represented on screen, we—our audience—are living in the 'hip-hop age' and want our viewers to feel the impact of modern-day music the way Fitzgerald did for the readers of his novel at the time of its publication," Luhrmann stated.
The soundtrack will include 14 songs. A deluxe edition featuring three additional tracks will be released exclusively at Target stores and Target.com on May 7th. Digital retailers will release the standard version on that same date. Starbucks will sell physical copies of the standard version in the U.S. and Canada.

Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" follows would-be writer Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings, and sky-rocketing stocks. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy (Carey Mulligan), and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton). It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without of the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

Veteran emcee Talib Kweli has joined the growing list of people taking Rick Ross to task over his lyrics in the song “U.O.E.N.O.”
Ross raps about slipping molly into his date's drink, then taking her home for sex without her consent.
“Put molly all in her champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain’t even know it," Ross raps in the song.
The rapper later offered up an apology that many didn't believe was sincere.
“Woman is the most precious gift known to man. And there was a misunderstanding with a lyric…a misinterpretation where the term rape was used. I would never use the term rape, you know, in my lyrics. And as far as my camp, hip hop don’t condone that, the streets don’t condone that, nobody condones that," said Ross.
In an interview with Huffpost Live, Kweli criticized the MMG CEO for his lyrics in the song. He added that he wasn't buying Ross' apology.
"I don't care if Rick Ross is 40 years old. He's a misguided 40-year-old person," Talib said. "Rick Ross condoned rape in that song and he should apologize. His apology that he offered was unacceptable."
The group has taken it's demands one step further. They are now going to bring their petition with 71,763 signatures to Reebok's flagship store in New York City, 420 5th Ave, in Manhattan on Thursday (April 4th) to protest in person according to a press release.
Following on the heels of a week of controversy over Reebok’s silence on their spokesman Rick Ross’ new song in which he brags about drugging and raping a woman, UltraViolet members are planning to deliver 71,763+ petitions to the company’s flagship NYC store demanding the company fire him. The Reebok spokesman’s response that in not using the word “rape” he is off the hook has only escalated complaints that he does not fit Reebok’s image.
“In remaining silent, Reebok is using it’s brand to promote rape,” said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet. “Reebok and Rick Ross have crossed a line— not only does Ross brag about drugging and raping a woman, he is pushing the idea that if you don’t use the word ‘rape’ it doesn’t count. We are fed up and disgusted with Reebok, and Thursday we will bring this fight to their front steps.”
The protest will also feature dozens of women in running bibs with the number “71,763” and signs reading “Hey Reebok— Want my business? Stop promoting rape. Drop Rick Ross.”
The protest is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. eastern time.
