Jimmy Iovine is the Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, and part owner of Beats By Dre. A heavy emphasis is placed on promoting Beats in artist videos, photo shoots and advertisements. With 50 Cent being the CEO of SMS Audio headphones, his last couple of years at Interscope proved to be a challenge.
50 sat down with Rob Markman from MTV to discuss what that situation was like.
Not that there wasn't a whole lot of support, but just an actual fear factor created from the aura of respect that Jimmy [Iovine] has within the Interscope system," 50 explained. "When you see Interscope turn into Beats Records, where everyone that you see is actually marketing Beats headphones — you don't even see a music video without Beats headphones in it. So, when the only task from the actual video department is to make sure that I don't put my headsets in the actual video — and then when we do see a rough cut, I see SMS Audio that I had on my hat is blurred out of the music video. I've never had a record company at any point... decide to alter the artist's clothing,"

On Monday, March 24, singer Ray J got personal with a female follower by posting her photo along with a caption that has left her publicly humiliated.
The caption read: "I usually don't go this hard but... This chick look exactly like a character on Planet of the apes ... I'm not even joking."
Tina Chastang is the woman in question. She told TMZ that despite the fact she insulted Ray by calling him gay, irrelevant and told him to stop worrying about Kim Kardashian, she wants an apology because he clowned in front of the entire world.
A source close to Ray says Tina might not want to hold her breath waiting for Brandy's younger brother to say he's sorry.
"This girl is an Instagram bully. She's been making negative comments on everything Ray J posts for months. He's been trying to take the high road, but finally decided he needed to give her a taste of her own medicine."

People are buzzing about Jay Z coming at Drake on Jay Electronica's "We Made It" remix. On the track Hov refers to the YMCMB rapper as "Mrs. Drizzy."

BEIJING (Associated Press) — Relatives shrieked and sobbed uncontrollably. Men and women nearly collapsed, held up by loved ones. Their grief came pouring out after 17 days of waiting for definitive word on the fate of the passengers and crew of the missing Malaysia jetliner.
Malaysia's prime minister gave that word late Monday in a televised announcement from Kuala Lumpur, saying there was no longer any doubt that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 went down in the southern Indian Ocean.

Relatives of passengers in Beijing had been called to a hotel near the airport to hear the news, and some 50 of them gathered there. Afterward, they filed out of a conference room in heart-wrenching grief.
One woman collapsed and fell on her knees, crying "My son! My son!"
Medical teams arrived at Beijing's Lido hotel with several stretchers and at least one elderly man was carried out of the conference room on one of them, his faced covered by a jacket. Minutes later a middle-aged woman was taken out on another stretcher, her face ashen and her blank expressionless eyes seemingly staring off into a distance.
Most of them refused to speak to gathered reporters and some of them lashed out in anger, urging journalists not to film the scene. Security guards restrained a man with close-cropped hair as he kicked a TV cameraman and shouted, "Don't film. I'll beat you to death!"
Wang Zhen, whose father and mother, Wang Linshi and Xiong Yunming, were aboard the flight as part of a group of Chinese artists touring Malaysia, heard the announcement on television from another hotel where he has been staying.
He said some of the relatives had received a text message in English from the airliner advising of the findings to be announced in a late-night news conference by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak. Najib said an unprecedented analysis of satellite data concluded that the flight, which disappeared March 8 with 239 people aboard while on a night flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, must have ended in the sea far from any possible landing site.

Nan Jinyan, whose brother-in-law Yan Ling was aboard the flight, said she was prepared for the worst when she heard the Malaysian prime minister would hold a news conference.
"This is a blow to us, and it is beyond description," Nan said.

Catholic priest Jakub Bartczak has found an effective way to engage the youth in his native country of Poland. Bartczak occasionally steps into the booth and delivers lyrics inspired by the Bible.
His songs/music videos include "Freedom," "Appointment," "Scriptures," "Meet with God," "Prayer" and more.
"I want to invite people to the faith or simply to ask about God," Jakub told Sky News. "Often young people are very busy looking for some value in their life, and have no time. Maybe even have no such opportunity. I would like to remind them that the first step can be taken. My music is not something far reaching. But it is mobilizing people to take the first step, such as a question or showing a way forward. A road that leads to somewhere."

Scott recently sat down with Mikey T The Movie Star to discuss the great potential he sees for 50 Cent and G-Unit Records, now that the business mogul is independent.
"50, I definitely believe knows what he's doing with business," Scott said. "His training wheels came off a long time ago. If he's free now from a deal where he made a major, major company some major, major, major cash. He knows the blueprint, he knows how to do it. So, why not do it for yourself? It's all growing. We don't know this, but at some point in the future 50 Cent could be the owner of the next Interscope Records."
Scott goes on to talk about the loyalty between 50, Eminem and Dr. Dre, where the money is for producers these days and 50 using music to branch off into other lucrative business ventures.
