GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (WSB-TV) — Gwinnett County police say a man drove through a Duluth neighborhood in a high-end Mercedes G-Wagon SUV crashing into dozens of cars.
Video from witnesses shows the driver hit 30 cars as he continues down the road.
Police arrested Patrick John Humes, 37, a few hours later & say he was likely suffering from a mental health crisis.
Neighbors told Johnson they didn’t recognize him or know why he was in their Berkley Hills Estates neighborhood.
Video shows Humes crashing into cars in several driveways & driving through lawns.
Police say there were a total of 30 cars damaged.
Tam Nguyen says he was home on Monday afternoon when he heard someone crash into his 3 cars. The crash knocked the bumper off of the van & pushed another car into his garage door.
“This neighborhood is very good, you know…very good neighborhood. Quiet. And I don’t know what happened [to make him] come here & do that,” Nguyen said.
Salvador Gomez was working a landscaping job in the neighborhood & says he told his team to hide in case he started targeting people as well.
“I don’t know what to say but it’s really crazy,” Gomez said. “You didn’t know what he was going to do.”
Officers found the wrecked G-Wagon at a tire shop, but they have not commented on if Humes owns the car.
The estimated damage is more than $14,000 in total.
Humes is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.

Lucy Letby has been handed 14 whole-life sentences for her crimes, which included the murder and attempted murder of 13 babies.
The judge imposed a whole-life order for each offence she committed, meaning she will spend the rest of her life in prison.
As we outlined earlier, she becomes only the fourth woman to be given the sentence in the UK, joining Rose West, Joanna Christine Dennehy and deceased moors murderer Myra Hindley.
West was infamously convicted of 10 murders in 1995 alongside her husband Fred West, while Dennehy stabbed three men to death and dumped their bodies in ditches outside Peterborough in March 2013.
Hindley, who murdered five children alongside partner Ian Brady, died behind bars in 2002.
This makes Letby one of just three women alive currently serving whole-life orders, and the fourth to be given the sentence in British history.

CNN — A British nurse has been found guilty of murdering 7 babies & attempting to kill 6 others at the hospital where she worked, making her the country’s worst baby serial killer in recent times.
Lucy Letby, 33, harmed babies in her care by injecting air into their blood & stomachs, overfeeding them with milk, physically assaulting them & poisoning them with insulin, Manchester Crown Court in northern England heard.
In one case, Letby murdered a baby boy, identified as Child E, by administering air into his bloodstream. The next day, she attempted to kill his twin brother, Child F, by poisoning him with insulin.
Authorities found notes Letby had written during searches of her address.
“I don’t deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them,” she wrote in one memo, adding in another, “I am a horrible evil person” & in capital letters “I am evil I did this.”
She secretly attacked 13 babies on the neonatal ward at the Countess of Chester hospital between 2015 & 2016.
Pascale Jones of the CPS called Letby’s actions a “complete betrayal of the trust placed in her.”
“Lucy Letby sought to deceive her colleagues & pass off the harm she caused as nothing more than a worsening of each baby’s existing vulnerability,” she said.
Letby will be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on August 21.
LOS ANGELES (WVUE) - Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was arrested Friday night (Aug. 18), after allegedly wandering into traffic while apparently under the influence of a controlled substance.
The Saints issued a statement Saturday morning acknowledging the arrest, but saying it was the result of Graham experiencing a “medical episode” that left him disoriented.
The arrest first was reported by TMZ Sports.
The report did not specify when or where Graham was arrested, but said he was taken into custody “near a Southern California resort.”
The Saints’ statement said Graham “experienced a medical episode last evening which resulted in him becoming disoriented. He was taken into custody by local authorities & transported to a local hospital for evaluation for what Dr. John Amoss believes to be a likely seizure and spent the night under medical supervision and testing.”
The team said Amoss “met Graham at the hospital and is overseeing his care at this time. He was released this morning and is with the team as they continue preparations for Sunday’s game.”
The Saints have spent the past several days practicing against the Los Angeles Chargers at that team’s camp in Costa Mesa, Calif., in preparation for Sunday’s scheduled preseason game at SoFi Stadium.
TMZ Sports reported Graham was booked with being under the influence of a controlled substance, and with resisting, delaying & obstructing a police officer, both misdemeanors.
Graham, 36, returned to the Saints in July, signing a one-year contract after sitting out the 2022 season.

HOUSTON (KSAT) – A Houston woman has been awarded $1.2 billion after her ex-boyfriend distributed intimate images and videos of her online without her permission — a crime known as “revenge porn.”
The victim was awarded $200 million for past and future mental anguish (compensatory damages) & $1 billion in exemplary damages.
The victim’s ex-boyfriend, Marques Jamal Jackson, has been ordered to pay the damages.
“We are grateful the jury took a strong stand against the defendant’s abhorrent behavior & against imaged-based sexual abuse. While a judgment in this case is unlikely to be recovered, the compensatory verdict gives [the victim] back her good name,” said trial lawyer Bradford Gilde.
Court documents reveal that the former couple initially ended their relationship in 2020 but tried to reconcile several times & didn’t fully separate until the fall of 2021.
During that time, the victim moved back in with her mother & Jackson would log on to the victim’s mother’s home security system to spy on the victim.
Jackson hacked the victim’s work computer, emailed loan officers claiming the victim was submitting fraudulent applications & shared intimate material of the victim on multiple social media websites.
Gilde said Jackson intended to inflict a combination of psychological abuse, domestic violence & sexual abuse.
Trial evidence revealed that Jackson told the victim, “You will spend the rest of your life trying and failing to wipe yourself off the internet. Everyone you ever meet will hear the story & go looking. Happy Hunting.”
“We will forever admire [the victim’s] courage in fighting back. We hope the staggering amount of this verdict sends a message of deterrence and prevents others from this engaging in this despicable activity,” said Gilde.
