On July 31st, 2023, officers were dispatched in response to an ongoing shoplifting incident. They were informed by the caller that two females were attempting to remove tags from merchandise and conceal them in their purses. Upon being approached by the officer, both individuals became agitated and were unwilling to cooperate. The females were not ready to cooperate with the officer and began arguing with him. The officers arrested the female as soon as they were sure she had stolen merchandise. Soon, the female officer found her car keys. Here’s what the woman told the police. The officers found the missing merchandise, with tags removed, near where the female was standing. The female was charged with resisting arrest and theft.

J. Cole said he already regrets releasing a Kendrick Lamar diss track in the midst of his ongoing beef with his fellow musician.
Videos posted on social media showed Cole talking to the crowd at Dreamville Festival on Sunday, 2 days after releasing his new album “Might Delete Later,” & apologizing for 1 of its songs, titled “7 Minute Drill.”
“I’m so proud of (‘Might Delete Later’), except for 1 part,” he said. “It’s 1 part of that sh*t that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest sh*t I did in my f**king life, right?”
He added: “I damn near had a relapse … I ain’t gonna lie to y’all. The past 2 days have felt terrible. It let me know how good I’ve been sleeping for the past 10 years.”
In the song, Cole ripped Lamar with lyrics like “He averagin’ 1 hard verse like every 30 months or somethin’” & “He still doin’ shows, but fell off like the Simpsons.”
It came after pair’s long-running rivalry intensified last October when Drake & J. Cole collaborated on the hit “First Person Shooter,” in which they implied that they were the “big three” of the hip-hop world, alongside Lamar.
Lamar apparently took exception to that & fired back in March, in a verse of Future & Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” that there was no big 3, “just big me.”
2 days after releasing the latest salvo in this back-and-forth, Cole apologized on stage & asked forgiveness for the “misstep” so that he “can get back to my true path.”
“I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is 1 of the greatest motherf**kers to ever touch a f**king microphone?” he said.

The Albuquerque Police Department responded to a call, after a person working for a drug testing agency was trying to obtain a drug test from UFC fighter Jon Jones. The UFC partners with a drug testing program called Drug Free Sport International and it is in charge of the collection process. For several years, the UFC partnered with USADA; however, last year, the UFC cut ties with them and started contracting with Drug Free Sport International instead.
Sources who are not authorized to speak to the media said the drug tester noticed Jones appeared extremely intoxicated and threatened to kill the tester. Jones at one point even snagged the drug tester’s cell phone. The incident happened at the end of March, however the tester went to a location nearby Jones’s home today to report the incident. A court record search did not produce any criminal summons or charges related to this incident as of today.
The tester met with officers at another location in far northeast Albuquerque. APD is currently investigating the alleged criminal act.
Jones is no stranger to the long arm of the law. He has faced a few criminal cases in New Mexico, New York where he is from and also Nevada where the UFC star most often fights.
Jones is a long time UFC champion who currently fights in the heavyweight division and is the current champion. He was expected to defend his heavyweight title later this year. Jones was supposed to fight Stipe Miocic last year, but got injured during training.

AP — A lawsuit that names Diddy as a co-defendant alleges that his son Christian “King” Combs sexually assaulted a woman working on a yacht chartered by his dad.
Grace O’Marcaigh, who worked as a crew member & bartender on the boat, says that in late December of 2022, Christian Combs pressured her to drink tequila that she believes was spiked with other drugs. He groped her breasts & genitals & attempted to force her to perform oral sex.
Diddy, who chartered the yacht throughout the holidays in 2022, “had full control of the staff & premises” & “turned what was sold as a wholesome family excursion into a hedonistic environment.” The court filing alleges he created circumstances where her assault was not only tolerated but encouraged.
O’Marcaigh, who was 25 at the time, said when Christian Combs, then 24, began giving her inappropriate attention.
She said the 2 were in a music studio on board the ship, where producer Rodney Jones, who filed his own lawsuit in February, was told to be available around the clock for Sean Combs to work on his next album.
O’Marcaigh said in the suit that Christian was insistent that she take shots of tequila & she drank out of obligation. He became increasingly aggressive with her, violently grabbing her arm as she tried to get out of the situation then groping her.
Microphones in the studio, where Jones was, he was told to recorded everything. The lawsuit includes a transcript where O’Marcaigh demands that Christian Combs stop touching her. He later continued the assault in the ship’s movie theater, which was used as a spare sleeping area & where she was attempting to find a place to spend the night because the rooms were all taken, before another crew member appeared & he stopped.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bronny James will enter the NBA draft after one season at Southern California that was shortened by his recovery from cardiac arrest.
The 19-year-old son of LeBron James announced Friday on his Instagram account that he also plans to retain his college eligibility and will enter the transfer portal.
“I’ve had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student and athlete,” James wrote.
“Bronny is his own man,” the elder James said this week. “He has some tough decisions to make. When he’s ready to make those decisions, he’ll let us all know. But as his family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”
James averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds while starting six of 25 games for the Trojans. He shot 37% from the field, 27% from 3-point range and 68% from the free throw line.
The 39-year-old James has been vocal about wanting to play with his son in the NBA.
Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, who represents father and son, said recently that he doesn’t “value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation.”
James, a 6-foot-4 combo guard, didn’t make his college debut until Dec. 10. Afterward, James appeared in front of the media for less than a minute to thank the doctors, athletic trainers and support system that helped him return to play.

An earthquake shook the densely populated New York City metropolitan area Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said, with residents reporting they felt rumbling across the Northeast.
The agency reported a quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.7, centered near Lebanon, New Jersey, or about 45 miles west of New York City and 50 miles north of Philadelphia.
Mayor Eric Adams said in a social media post just before noon that preliminary reports “do not indicate major life safety or infrastructure issues from the earthquake.” He said the city is performing thorough inspections of critical areas.
