Justin Bieber is seeking salvation by turning his life over to God in the wake of racist videos leaking to the public.
Two tapes that are several years old show Bieber telling a joke that is offensive to African Americans and singing a song that is equally insulting.
The singer apologized after the joke tape was posted on a British website Sunday, June 1. When the second video came to light several days later showing him singing 'One Less Lonely N*gger" in a parody of his song "One Less Lonely Girl," the 20-year old posted Bible passages on his Instagram account.
Justin's team knew the controversial videos were coming because the person who had them made contact asking for money in exchange for not releasing the tapes. Justin refused to pay and turned to Pastor Carl Lentz last month to atone for his sins.
Lentz told TMZ that "he spent a week doing intense Bible study with Justin." In addition to studying the Bible, the 20-year old started attending church and was recently baptized in a bathtub at a friend's house in New York City.
The singer reportedly decided not to get baptized in a church because he wanted the ceremony kept private and couldn't find a place of worship where he wouldn't be seen.
