COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WLS) -- A person who was shot Monday at an intersection in south suburban Country Club Hills has been identified as Chicago rapper Tavares Taylor, known as Lil Reese, by hospital officials.

Chicago Rapper Tavares Taylor, better known as Lil Reese, rose to fame as the featuring artist on Chief Keef's single "Don't Like." Which seemingly birthed the drill rap era and shined light on the violence n Chicago's streets. Lil Reese would spill hate filled lyrics wishing death on opps (short for "opposition" or rival gang members), and spewing disrespect towards those not in his gang. His name gained more fire as gang members he would come into conflict with would often end up murdered in the streets. With one of the most known being fellow Chi-Raq rapper and rival gang member, "Lil JoJo." These deaths earned Reese the nick name "The Grim Reaper."
Well 2019 has been a grim year of reaping for rapper. He was caught slipping by rivals and attacked earlier this year. The video not only showed Lil Reese to be very little of a threat with out a gun (and he was yelling to someone to call someone else to get the gun) but he also stained his fear level and clothes by shitting on himself during the scuffle. Giving the impression this might be his first real fight other than the video released a few years ago of Reese fighting his child's mother at a party.
Today, news has unfolded that in the day light hours, Reese was shot at an intersection in Chicago's South Suburb of Country Club Hills. Responding officers said witnesses claimed another man took the injured rapper in a personal vehicle following the shooting. Police contacted local hospitals and found out the victim was shot in the neck, and his identity. Lil Reese has been listed in critical condition and currently no arrests have been made or leads have been released.
We will keep readers updated as we learn more.

(TMZ) -- A Popeyes employee was caught making their now-infamous chicken sandwiches above a trash can -- for which the owner has now taken full responsibility and corrected.
TMZ has obtained some pretty shocking photos taken Friday at a Popeyes restaurant in Fairfax, VA -- where it appears an employee behind the counter is fast at work putting together as many sandos as possible. But, it's being done on top of a tray that's conveniently resting on top of a large trash bin ... and the setup was in customers' line of sight.
The placement begs many different questions -- the obvious one being ... WHY? Not enough counter space? Not enough hands on deck? Too much demand? Turns out, it was pretty much all of the above, according to this location's owner.
The guy tells us that on this particular day, the restaurant was overwhelmed after only having been open a few days, and then getting slammed with a 100 chicken sandwich order.
He says when he saw his brand new employees using the bin -- which he claims was totally empty -- he immediately ordered another table, which is in the store now.
Of course, this is just the latest eyebrow-raising behavior that's surfaced over the past week or so since Popeyes reintroduced their viral sensation sandwich.
We already know people have been losing their minds at several different locations nationwide over these things, with customers and employees coming to blows ... and in the worst incident, someone was fatally stabbed.

AUBURN, Ala. (WSFA) - The man police believe kidnapped Aniah Blanchard made his first appearance in court Sunday afternoon, but WSFA 12 News was denied access.
In a rare Sunday hearing during a long holiday weekend, kidnapping suspect Ibraheem Yazeed made his initial court appearance before Judge Russell Bush. The media - and a representative from the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office - were not let into the building. WSFA 12 News later learned a gag order has been issued in this case, something rarely seen at the district court level.
Suspects are scheduled for a first appearance before a judge within 72 hours after their arrest. Court proceedings are public hearings, and it’s unclear why this hearing was restricted. We questioned several officials, including the district attorney, but they declined to comment. Blanchard’s family was escorted out of the courthouse by deputies after the hearing concluded.
Yazeed was out on bond for a kidnapping case out of Montgomery when he was arrested in this case, and that bond has been revoked. It’s unclear whether a bail has been set for the latest kidnapping count.
Yazeed was identified as a suspect in the case on Thursday, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on a first-degree kidnapping charge. The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force took him into custody shortly before midnight Thursday in Pensacola, Florida, and on Saturday he was behind bars in Lee County.
Blanchard, the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris, was reported missing on Oct. 24. A total of 11 agencies are actively searching for her, with investigators keying in on the area between Auburn and Montgomery. Surveillance video from a convenience store put her in Auburn on Oct. 23, and photos from the store show Yazeed was there at the same time.
A witness told authorities he saw Yazeed force Blanchard into a car, and an affidavit states blood evidence, “indicative of someone suffering a life-threatening injury,” was found in the passenger compartment of Blanchard’s 2017 Honda CR-V. Her vehicle was found on Oct. 25 at an apartment complex in Montgomery, and it had sustained damage.
