In 2005 Mike Jones burst onto the music scene with the singles "Back Then" and "Still Tippin." At that point it looked like he was going to be the next big rapper out of Houston, then all of a sudden he seemed to vanish.
Mike did release an album in 2009 titled The Voice, but he was never able to regain the public's attention.
In later years when he was occasionally spotted out in public he had lost a lot of weight, leading some to speculate that he had contracted HIV.
Mike recently sat down with Sway in the Morning to clear up some of the rumors that have been floating around about him.
He says he is healthy and had to fall back from music for political reasons. Peep his full interview below.
