Video After The Jump

Back in July Waka Flocka announced that he was getting out of the rap game after this year, stating that he would "rather work at Wal Mart."

A lot of people were confused by the statement given that he'd been enjoying so much success.

In a new interview his mom, Debra Antney, who also manages her son's career through her company Mizay Entertainment breaks down why he felt that way.

"I think him doing that was out of like anger," she said. "This industry is kinda hard sometimes. The people, the riducule and like everything that you have to go through in this industry. Waka was really hurt because within this time he started losing his friends. And when you're in this game it's really hard because you lose people. You lose friends, you lose family... you lose a lot of people. And the expectations of people are ridiculous. Everybody thinks you have tons of money that you could just take care of the world. Everybody seems to think you oqwe them something. When he done that he was hurt because he had childhood friends that started flipping. Because he's a rapper or because he's in the streets doesn't mean that you don't feel or you don't have a heart. And if it meant him destroying his relationships, it was like 'I'd rather not do this sh*t because there's no more fun in this.'"
