The New York Police Department are looking to question The-Dream about an alleged assault on his baby's mother, Lydia Nam, who was pregnant at the time.
The incident reportedly happened in April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel, three months before Nam gave birth to The-Dream, real name Terius Nash's son.
According to TMZ, Nam was punched kicked and strangled during the assault. She didn't file charges until November.
Sources close to The-Dream insist Nam, who is from Canada, is lying and made up the story to extend her U.S. visa.
The singer/producer/songwriter was previously arrested last June in Newport Beach, California for assaulting Nam, but she refused to press charges.
When the NYPD catch up with him, he will be taken into custody.
**UPDATE** May 7
The-Dream has turned himself in to authorities, according to TMZ. He reportedly walked into an NYPD precinct this morning at 8:30 a.m.
The singer was booked for child endangerment, assault and reckless endangerment. In total he was hit with 2 felonies and three misdemeanors and remains in police custody.
