It's been twelve long years since The Lox have released an album. While the three core members of Styles P, Sheek Louch and Jadakiss have continued to put out quality solo projects, there really is no substitute for hearing the three of them spit on the same record.
The wait looks like it might finally be over. In a recent interview with MTV News, Sheek Louch said the trio is getting ready to give fans fans the follow up to the 2000 album, We Are the Streets.
"The last meeting I had was with Swizz and Khaled and they're executive producing this new LOX album," Sheek told MTV
While the label situation for the group remains cloudy, Sheek did reveal that Lil Wayne tried to unsuccessfully sign them to Young Money and they have also been in talks with Diddy.
"Lil Wayne tried to sign us, Puff tried to re-sign us and paint that picture over, we done been in motherf*cker's living rooms and talkin' business," he said. "The meeting we just had with Swizz and Khaled about executive producing this project was the one that grabbed us and we're gonna give y'all some real, real big records."
The last bit of news Sheek revealed is that the group has a record coming featuring Alicia Keys.
"I was just in the studio the other night with us and Alicia Keys working on the Lox project and get ready y'all," Sheek revealed. "I'm sorry for the delay and the wait, but this joint is gonna be monstrous, man."
