New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was shot and robbed Wednesday morning, December 30, after leaving CityScapes Gentleman’s Club in Queens, New York.
According to the New York Post, Early had just left the club with a woman at around 4:20 a.m. and got into an Uber cab.

The cab drove a short distance before being boxed in by three vehicles. Six ski-masked wearing thieves demanded everyone exit the cab.
Early was robbed of some money, jewelry and the gold caps on his teeth, before being shot once in the right knee, reports USA Today.

The 24-year old 2nd year player out of Wichita State underwent surgery at Elmhurst Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The Knicks released the following statement:
"We are aware of what occurred with Cleanthony Early this morning and are relieved that he is not in a life-threatening situation," the team said. "We will not comment any further until we receive more information."
