Video After The Jump
New York Knicks basketball player J.R. Smith has become the latest ambassador for 50 Cent's SK Energy. Brittany Lewis of Global Grind caught up with him on the set of his first SK video shoot.
J.R. talks about how helping feed children in need played a big part in getting involved with SK. He uses the energy shot to give him a boost during the grueling 82-game NBA schedule.
The New Jersey native also picks the player who has the illest street ball game in the league, talks about his desire to get into fashion and remembers where he was when 50 Cent released his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
"I was a senior in high school," J.R. said, speaking of the first time he heard the album. "Just listening to it, making my way to camp coming out of high school. I felt like it had more impact on me, especially coming from the inner city. Everybody, that was their favorite album 'Get Rich or Die Tryin.' Even 10 years later."
