Washington, D.C. rapper Fat Trel was arrested on Sunday, March 27, for allegedly trying to use counterfeit money at a Maryland casino.
TMZ reports that the Maybach Music Group recording artist, real name Martrel Reeves, passed a pit boss nine fake $50 bills. They were easily spotted because the serial numbers on eight of the bills matched.
According to the report, Trel claims to have withdrawn the money from an ATM in D.C. He was taken into custody by the Anne Arundel County Police Department and charged with possession of counterfeit currency.

The rapper called the story b.s. via his Twitter account, saying he doesn't even own a bank card.
