Haitian Presidential Candidate, Wyclef Jean Says He's Approaching Campaign With "Fresh Eyes But Not Naive Ears" & That "Politics Is Poli-tricks" [Video]

Video After The Jump Haitian Presidential candidate, Wyclef Jean talks about some of his plans if elected and what celebrity has taught him about politics. Wyclef wants to ammend Haiti's constitution giving Haitians living abroad the right to vote in their homeland. He believes that one of the keys to saving Haiti is getting outside investments. "When I said Haiti is open for business, I was talking about the diaspora first. To let them know that to save the country, it's not just gonna take aid, it's gonna take investement," he explained Clef also talks about what celebrity has taught him about politics. "Celebrity has taught me that poiltics is poli-tricks. And the fact that I'm coming into this with fresh eyes, but not naive ears. I think that's a good start." twitter-2a.png
