At least 46 percent of Americans would support a presidential run from Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson, according to a new poll.

The actor & former professional wrestler has hinted that could be a 2024 candidate for several years. A poll released on Tuesday by Piplsay suggests that nearly half of all U.S. adults would support his candidacy. The poll found that 29 percent would support campaigns by both Johnson for president & actor Matthew McConaughey for Texas governor, with another 17 percent supporting Johnson's run only.

In addition to Johnson, the poll asked respondents to weigh in on whether a number of other celebrities should run for president. A presidential run from Angelina Jolie had the support of 30 percent, while 27 percent supported Oprah Winfrey & another 22 percent supported Tom Hanks. A combined 63 percent said that Hollywood stars would "make good politicians" if they had "political aptitude" or "the right team in place."

The poll was conducted online among 30,138 adults between April 2 and April 4. No margin of error was listed.

Johnson has been asked about running for presidential on multiple occasions over the past several years. In 2016, he told GQ magazine that he would not rule out a run, calling the idea of being president "alluring," while noting that there were "a lot of other things" he would like to do first. A year later, during an interview on The Ellen Show, Johnson said he was "seriously" considering becoming a candidate.

During a 2018 appearance on The Late Show, Johnson told host Stephen Colbert that he was still "absolutely" contemplating a run. However, he said that he would need to "get some experience & understand policy" before launching his potential White House bid, mentioning the elections of 2024 or 2028 as possibilities.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The ongoing controversy over the money left behind by Prince when he died without a will is heating up again after Internal Revenue Service calculations showed that executors of the rock star's estate undervalued it by 50%, or about $80 million.

The IRS determined that Prince’s estate is worth $163.2 million, overshadowing the $82.3 million valuation submitted by Comerica Bank & Trust, the estate’s administrator. The discrepancy primarily involves Prince’s music publishing and recording interests, according to court documents.

Documents show the IRS believes that Prince's estate owes another $32.4 million in federal taxes, roughly doubling the tax bill based on Comerica’s valuation, the Star Tribune reported.

The IRS also has ordered a $6.4 million “accuracy-related penalty” on Prince’s estate, citing a “substantial” undervaluation of assets, documents show.

Prince’s death of a fentanyl overdose on April 21, 2016, created one of the largest and most complicated probate court proceedings in Minnesota history. Estimates of his net worth have varied widely, from $100 million to $300 million.

Comerica and its lawyers at Fredrikson & Byron in Minneapolis maintain their estate valuations are solid. Comerica sued the IRS this summer in U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C., saying the agency’s calculations are riddled with errors. #prince #ripprince #legend #musicalgenius #musician #singer #songwriter #princerogersnelson #irs #unclesam #princeestate #taxes #princeestateowes32millionintaxes #comerica #lawsuit #executors #errors #vanity6 #sineadoconnor #purplerain #sheilae #therevolution #wendyandlisa #andywarhol #vanity #apollonia #rockandrollhalloffame

HipHopWired Reports The longevity of Sean “Diddy” Combs has ensured two things with one being the fact that no matter how shifty his business ethics may be, in regards to the music industry, he continues to find ways to draw in new arts to Bad Boy. The other point is the fact that Diddy is strictly about his business and like Jay-Z, he goes to all bounds in order to claim the top position outside of the music industry. His deal with Ciroc Vodka may have made a turn for the better, as Combs has decided to expand his deal with the world's largest liquor maker and become a 50 percent owner of the brand. The other half of the brand belongs to Diageo who is also the owner of brands such as Smirnoff and Ketel One. The saying goes that if it makes dollars, it must make sense as the deal between the two was able to give Diageo a little extra change by earning over $2 billion in sales during 2008. Sales have not yet begun to dwindle either as sales have catapulted from 60,000 cases back in the beginning of 2007 to 400,000 going from 2008-2009. And everybody tries to say how bad alcohol can be. Reports stemming from the Bloomberg News have stated that Diddy is taking his new-found partnership and using it to broaden the brand. In doing so, he intends to release new flavors such as coconut and red berry. Known to market himself very favorably, it would only make cents for Combs to take his aggressiveness to the brand as he, along with Sean Combs Enterprises, takes responsibility and control of the management decisions within the joint effort. Duties include marketing, advertising, public relation, product placements and Diddy's specialty, events. Now if only Diddy was able to keep artists the way he kept his other business ventures rolling in, he would definitely be in business. Related new shows that the publicized free agent release of Harlem rapper Mase may have all been just smoke and mirrors. Rumors have come about stating that Diddy is still unwilling to release his grasp on the rapper and the signature just allowed Mase to creatively express himself with other artists more freely. Jadakiss didn't refer to it as Rape-N-U Records for nothing.
