The 43rd annual NAACP Image Awards was held Friday (February 17) in Los Angeles. It was a night of celebration and remembrance as awards were given out for achievements of people of color and Yolanda Adams paid tribute to fallen superstar Whitney Houston.

 

Among those winning awards were LL Cool J for Actor in a Drama series “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Diggy Simmons for Best New Artist, Cee Lo Green for Best Male Artist, Jill Scott for Best Female Artist, Mike Epps for Supporting actor in a motion picture for “Jumping the Broom,” and “The Help” for Best Motion Picture.
