Video After The Jump
Nas appeared on Anderson Cooper 360° along with a panel of guests to talk about racism. The topic has been pushed to the forefront of conversation in America after the George Zimmerman acquittal.
"It's guilt, it's ignorance," Nas said, in response to a question about people who question why subjects like slavery are being brought into the present discussion. "People...we tend to judge each other. If I don't know something about you Anderson, I'm gonna judge you based on on a bad experience I had with another white person. If you don't know me and you walk down the street and you see me. My pants sagging, you're gonna assume the worst. We need to learn how to deal with each other."
Included in the conversation were Mark Geragos, Robert Hirschhorn, Christy Oglesby, BET's Michaela Angela Davis, David Webb, co-founder of Tea Party 365, and Andre Perry, founding Dean of Urban Education at Davenport University.
