LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Henderson man accused of murdering a man & then writing a song about it has been arrested for homicide.
Kenjuan McDaniel, 25, was arrested Aug. 29 on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon & violation of probation. He is being held without bail as of Tuesday evening.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department alleges that on Sept. 18, 2021 officers responded to a call of a shooting.
Investigators found the alleged victim, Randall Wallace, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police they saw a Black male fleeing from the area in an unknown white vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Witnesses also told police they believed Wallace wasn’t the intended victim of the shooting but did not know who the shooter was. However, a month later 1 of the same witnesses came forward & said they had more information but did not want to be labeled a snitch.
Police were able to obtain information leading to the suspect being identified as McDaniel.
On July 17, 2023, a detective observed a YouTube video posted by “The Biggest Finn 4800″ titled “Fadee Free,” & included the lyrics:
“I be the reason why he’s dead, we still taunt him when he die, not the reason he’s dead, so celebrate the reason why his momma cry.”
The report breaks down the lyrics line by line as to what McDaniel is referring to in his song, taking credit for the murder of Wallace & including information that was never released to the public regarding the shooting.
McDaniel was arrested at his home without incident last week. His next hearing is Sept. 7.

A judge has sentenced "That '70s Show'' actor Danny Masterson to 30 years to life in prison for raping 2 women.
"This has been a long & arduous road for the victims of Mr. Masterson," read a statement from District Attorney George Gascón. "They not only survived his abuse, they also survived a system that is often not kind to victims."
Masterson, a member of the Church of Scientology, was a star on the hit sitcom "That '70s Show," which ran from 1998 to 2006. He was first accused of sexual misconduct in 2017, which kicked off an investigation by the LAPD. In June 2020, he was charged with raping 3 women, including his former girlfriend, in his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003. The 3 women had all met Masterson through the Church of Scientology.
"You are pathetic, disturbed and completely violent," one of the women said to Masterson in court this morning.
A deadlocked jury led to a mistrial last year. Prosecutors retried Masterson in May, informing jurors that he drugged the women's drinks, & that the church tried to silence the women. The jury found him guilty of 2 counts of rape, but were unable to reach a verdict in the allegation that he raped his longtime girlfriend.
Vlad and Michael Blackson discussed the impact of Donald Trump's presidency on comedy and current politics. Michael jokingly reminded the audience of his pre-election claim that he would "deport himself" if Trump was elected but added that Trump's presidency was great for comedy. Despite his humorous comment, Michael criticized Trump for his controversies while in office and his alleged disregard for the responsibilities of the presidency. Ongoing discussions also brought up potential legal issues Trump might face, including potential imprisonment. Vlad clarified that presidents and ex-presidents could go to jail and that Trump could potentially face charges. Michael ended the conversation on a light note, wondering about the unusual trend of aging presidents, comparing Joe Biden to the movie "Weekend at Bernie's."

LAKE WALES, Fla. (10 Tampa Bay) — An arrest affidavit from the Polk County Sheriff's Office revealed more information about an ongoing homicide investigation involving a father accused of killing his 16-year-old son in Lake Wales.
Stephen Rodda, 16, was staying with his grandfather, Thomas Rodda, at a mobile home 60 to help out while his grandmother was in rehab.
The teen's father, 37-year-old Stephen Rodda, had returned to town about a month prior & was outside the home on Monday when the grandfather returned home from an outing. He reportedly told him, "I wouldn't go in there if I was you. I killed someone. You may need to call the police."
Thomas Rodda then entered the home to find his grandson dead in the kitchen-dining room area.
The affidavit explained law enforcement encountered a gruesome scene, with the teen being found with multiple deep cuts to his body & missing teeth. A broken handheld angle grinder was reportedly found next to the 16-year-old's body.
Stephen Rodda reportedly fled the scene & was arrested about a mile away.
During a recorded interview, the 37-year-old told authorities his son, who had just been killed, died years ago when he was little.
"During the course of the interview, the suspect showed no remorse or concern for the killing of his son...," the affidavit reads in part.
He was arrested for first-degree murder & was taken to the sheriff's processing center. His first appearance in court is set for Tuesday afternoon.
The 37-year-old has used methamphetamine since he was in high school & is known to have "psychotic" episodes, according to Judd. He also reportedly has extensive criminal histories in several states, including an arrest warrant in South Carolina.
