Chicago rapper, Lil Bibby sat on the VladTV couch to discuss his collaborative work with Future and R. Kelly, and why he decided to push back the release of his album, Free Crack 3: The Epilogue, which was originally suppose to be available Dec. 18.
During Bibby's sit down, he opened up about how he was able to get Future on "Aww Man" saying that it started with his A&R passing along the track, however, explained to us that Future was very pleased with the songs turn out, "I actually ran into Future in Atlanta and he just told me that it was a pleasure working with you. He said, 'You doing big things for the city." He explained, "That was surprising because that's one of my favorite rappers and he was shouting me out like that."
As far as his relationship with R. Kelly, he says that it's nothing new to collaborate with the singer and says that they hung outside of music, "I got like ten R. Kelly songs because we're on the same label." He said, "R Kelly's cool, I shoot hops with him sometimes too."
Now following his mixtape, Free Crack 2 which was released Aug 2014, fans may have to wait a little longer for his long overdue album, Free Crack 3: The Epilogue. "It was scheduled to be released [on] December 18th, but we['re] going to end up pushing it back to late January." He explained that he's back to his street sound, "I'm in a different type of mode right now. I'm feeling different, so I wanted to put different type of sh*t on it. I'm been on a street mode—I've been in Chicago for a little minute—so, I'm back on that vibe. That's how I want it to sound."
