Kanye West has officially been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft in connection with his July scuffle with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
West charged at Daniel Ramos and seemed to wrestle with him over his camera. There were no punches thrown, but Ramos was taken to the hospital for injuries he supposedly suffered.
Ramos hired high powered attorney Gloria Allred. Last month the two held a news conference announcing they were suing West. Ramos said that he still has to use a cane as a result of the attack.
West will be arraigned October 10th. If convicted of both misdemeanors Kanye could face a maximum of 1 year in jail, according to TMZ.
