When Floyd Mayweather Jr. entered the ring to face Miguel Cotto on Saturday May 5, 2012 many people were surprised to see him accompanied by Justin Bieber.
On the surface the two wouldn't seem to have much in common, but Money May took a liking to Bieber after a chance meeting and is now mentoring him and has made him a member of the money team.
“After I met him, we just connected and exchanged numbers and started talking,” Bieber told VIBE.com “He gives me advice about business and how to make sure I’m being taken care of. He’s Money Mayweather. He wants to make sure I’m making the right investments.”
Bieber said the experience of walking out with the champ's belts along with 50 Cent was a memorable one.
“He asked me to walk him out and I was like of, course,” Bieber said. “I had the belts, me and 50, It was a lot of fun. I’m used to screams, but these were different because they weren’t as high pitched. These were older guys, so it was more like yeah (says roaring) and not like aaah (high pitched squeal).”
