Chad Johnson has just been arrested and sentenced to 30 days in jail by a Florida judge after a bizarre set of events.
The former NFL player was in a Broward County, Florida courtroom this morning because he violated his probation in his Evelyn Lozada domestic violence case recently.
Johnson's attorney was about to seal a plea deal to keep his client out of jail when Judge Kathleen McHugh asked Chad if he was happy with his lawyer.
Chad playfully slapped his male attorney on the butt and smiled, which made the courtroom erupt in laughter. The judge then asked Chad if he thought the court proceedings were a joke.
"I had no intent to make this a joke, because my life is in shambles right now," Chad replied.
The judge was so angry she took the plea deal off the table and kicked Chad out of court. TMZ reports that McHugh later had him arrested and sentenced to 30 days in jail. His probation was also extended until December 21, 2013, and he must complete an additional 25 hours of community service along with extra therapy sessions.
