After the first film crossed the $1 billion mark in earnings, it should come as no surprise that there is talk of a sequel to "Joker."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joaquin Phoenix will reprise his role as Arthur Fleck.
Director Todd Phillips is in talks to repeat his role as director for a second Joker outing (he and Scott Silver, who penned the original Joker screenplay, will write the follow-up), THR reports.
Phillips also managed to convince Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich, to allow him to use at least one other DC characters' origin story for the film.
No word on when production may start on "Joker 2."
