Ice Cube is ready to talk with Bill Maher about why he chose to refer to himself as a "house nigger" when the two sit down face-to-face, during the rapper's upcoming appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher."
Maher made the comment on his show Friday, June 2, and has been catching heat from all fronts ever since.
While other scheduled guests have been cancelling their appearances, Cube's rep told TMZ that the timing is perfect because the comment: "Sadly, speaks to many of the same race issues we as a society are still dealing with today."
Cube was originally scheduled to discuss the 25th anniversary edition of his sophomore solo album, "Death Certificate." We expect that topic to take a back seat.
