Gucci Mane stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to chop it up with the crew about his Trap God mixtape, which drops October 17th and other topics.
Gucci talked about being independent vs. being on a major, his close relationship with Waka Flocka Flame, why we haven't heard more from OJ Da Juiceman and his dislike for Young Jeezy.
"I don't got no respect for him," Gucci said about Young Jeezy.
Charlamagne Tha God said that he thought both Gucci and Jeezy were Atlanta legends, but Gucci disagreed.
"I'm an Atlanta legend, I wouldn't say [Jeezy is]," Gucci said. "Aint nobody a legend [if] you send somebody to kill me you think I'm gonna call you a legend? What's a legend about that?"
Gucci was referring to a 2005 incident where five men burst into the apartment of a female friend he was visiting. One of the men, Henry Lee Clark III, was shot and killed.
Gucci was indicted for the murder, but the district attorney's office, lacking sufficient evidence to try him, dropped the charges.
The men were said to be acquaintances of Young Jeezy. The Snowman had put a $10,000 bounty out on Gucci's chain in a song titled "Stay Strapped."
"I want that muthafuckin' bullsh*t-ass icy chain," Jeezy said on the track "I got a bounty on that sh*t, n*gga, 10 stacks. So if he come to your town. And you just happen to snatch that muthaf*cker off his neck. I'm gonna shoot you the 10-stack, man. So I can cremate that muthaf*cker."
