New York police wasted no time in making several arrests in connection to the death of actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The Academy Award winner died of a suspected heroin overdose on February 2nd.
On Tuesday (February 4), cops raided an apartment in Manhattan. They found 350 bags of heroin stamped with the labels "black list" and "red bull." Not the same brand Hoffman allegedly overdosed on. The 50 bags found in the actor's apartment after his death were labeled "ace of spades" and "ace of hearts."
Four people were taken into custody and charged with various drug related offences, according to CNN
Juliana Luchkiw, 22, charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana; Max Rosenblum, 22, charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana; Robert Vineberg, 57, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia; and Thomas Cushman, 48, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
According to CNN's report, Vineberg had Hoffman's phone number stored in his cell phone. More arrests could be made soon as cops try to zero in on the source of Hoffman's drugs.
