Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0) is officially set to fight Andre Berto Berto (33-3) in his next fight scheduled for September, according to TMZ.
Mayweather will be looking to match Rocky Marciano's unblemished record of 49 wins without a loss in what could be his final bout. The match up will fulfill the pound-for-pound king's contractual obligation to Showtime.
In February 2013, Money May signed a six-fight, 30-month deal with Showtime/CBS.
At 38-years old, having beaten all of the top contenders during his career Floyd has nothing left to prove. Which may be the reason he chose a relatively safe opponent in Berto for his next fight. If he decides to go for the 50-0 mark, which has never been achieved before, both HBO or Showtime would likely pay handsomely for the rights to broadcast the bout.
