— RIAA (@RIAA) June 10, 2014Eminem can add another accolade to his growing list of achievements. The Recording Industry of America has announced that the Detroit emcee has become the first artist in history to earn two Digital Diamond Awards.
Em surpassed the ten million sales and streams mark for the singles "Love the Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna and "Not Afraid."
Cary Sherman, Chairman & CEO, RIAA released a statement regarding Eminem’s achievement:
“We are delighted to recognize Eminem as the first artist to earn two RIAA Digital Diamond Awards. This singular achievement – earning a Diamond Award on two separate digital songs – is unparalleled, and we congratulate him on forever etching a mark in Gold & Platinum Program history.”
