Report via The Houston Chronicle -- It's not unusual for law enforcement officers along the border to come across vehicles packed with illegal cargo.

It is a rare occasion to have the suspected drug runner leave behind some ID.

Early Saturday morning, Brewster County Sheriff's deputies and Border Patrol agents recovered approximately 1,127 pounds of marijuana in an abandoned SUV,  according to a Facebook post from the BCSO.

"The driver left the scene before he could meet our friendly deputies and agents, but left his wallet in the vehicle," the post read. "We would really like to return it."

To add insult to injury, the cops trolled the drug runner fail with hashtags like #lostandfound, #yourIDishere, #jointoperation, #buds, and of course #weedliketotalk.

The case is currently under investigation. No word if the suspect has filed a lost and found claim.
