A judge has granted DMX's request to be let off of house arrest, with the stipulation that he check himself into an inpatient treatment drug program.
As we previously reported, the 46-year old multi-platinum selling rapper, real name Earl Simmons, was placed on house arrest earlier this month after failing to meet the conditions of his bond while free for federal tax evasion.
He failed four drug tests for weed and cocaine. X also left New York City to take care of some family matters in St. Louis, without getting court permission first.
According to TMZ, DMX has had his ankle monitor removed, but will still need the court's permission to travel outside of NYC.
DMX is currently facing 14 counts of evading more than $1 million in federal taxes. If convicted he could be sentenced to 44 years in federal prison.
