We've learned what caused the altercation between Diddy and Drake. TMZ reports the beef was over the song "0 to 100/The Catch Up."
Producer Boi-1da sent the beat to both artists to record a song. Puffy had it for eight months without laying down any vocals. Drizzy knew the track was hot and decided to move forward and record it solo.
The song performed well, charting in the U.S., Australia, the U.K. and Canada. It received nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the upcoming 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
Fast forward to Monday, December 8, when Diddy saw Drake for the first time since the song was released. He confronted the YMCMB rapper outside of Club Liv in Miami Beach and was blown off. At that point the Bad Boy Records CEO told him, "You'll never disrespect me again," before punching him.
Drake aggravated an old shoulder injury during the altercation and had to be taken to the emergency room.
